Submitting an RFQ, product list, specification or enquiry does not create a contract or obligation for either party.
New Season Trading may request additional information before preparing a quotation.
6. Quotations
Each quotation is subject to the prices, specifications, quantities, validity period, delivery terms, payment terms and other conditions stated in that quotation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Prices are subject to product availability.
- Prices may change after the quotation validity period expires.
- A quotation does not reserve stock.
- Delivery periods are estimates until the order is confirmed.
- Any applicable VAT will be shown or applied in accordance with Oman tax requirements.
A specific written quotation, purchase order, tender condition or contract agreed for a transaction will take precedence over these website Terms where there is a conflict.
7. Orders and Acceptance
An order is not considered accepted merely because a customer sends a purchase order or other request.
Acceptance is subject to New Season Trading confirming the order, product availability, pricing, specifications, payment arrangements and delivery requirements.
Where necessary, New Season Trading may request clarification or amendment before accepting an order.
8. Pricing and VAT
Prices displayed or quoted may be exclusive or inclusive of VAT depending on the quotation or document.
The applicable VAT treatment will be clearly stated in the relevant quotation or invoice.
The standard VAT rate in Oman is currently 5% on most goods and services, subject to applicable zero-rating and exemptions.
9. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be stated in the relevant quotation, purchase order, contract or invoice.
Unless credit terms have been expressly agreed in writing, New Season Trading may require payment before ordering or delivery.
Failure to make payment according to agreed terms may result in suspension or cancellation of supply.
10. Delivery
Delivery terms and expected delivery periods will be stated in the relevant quotation or order confirmation.
Delivery periods may be affected by:
- Supplier availability
- Manufacturer availability
- Import or customs processing
- Transportation
- Public holidays
- Events outside reasonable control
New Season Trading will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery requirements but does not guarantee delivery dates unless expressly agreed in writing.
11. Inspection and Reporting Issues
Customers should inspect supplied products upon receipt.
Any visible damage, incorrect item, quantity discrepancy or other delivery issue should be reported promptly with relevant details and supporting photographs where appropriate.
The applicable remedy will depend on the product, issue, supplier conditions, warranty terms and the terms of the relevant quotation or order.
12. Warranty
Warranty coverage varies by product and manufacturer.
Where applicable, warranty conditions will follow the warranty stated in the quotation, manufacturer documentation or other written agreement.
Warranty does not normally cover misuse, accidental damage, improper installation, unauthorized modification, environmental damage or normal wear and tear unless otherwise provided by the applicable warranty.
13. Returns and Cancellations
Returns, exchanges and cancellations are subject to the nature of the product and the terms agreed for the particular order.
Products specially ordered, configured, imported or sourced against a customer’s specific requirement may not be cancellable or returnable once procurement has commenced, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Customers should obtain written confirmation before returning any product.
14. Customer Specifications
Customers are responsible for providing accurate product references, specifications, quantities and other requirements.
Where New Season Trading recommends a product based on information supplied by the customer, the customer should review the quotation and confirm that the proposed specification meets its requirements before ordering.
15. Website Information
We aim to keep website information accurate and current.
However, product specifications, availability, brands, images and other information may change without notice.
The final written quotation should always be relied upon for the specific product, specification, quantity and commercial terms being offered.
16. Website Availability
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruption or technical error.
